It's been awhile since I posted.. I just haven't really felt like doing much of anything lately. Although I am kind of excited about starting school. My last fall! I can't believe it. Then again, I've always been excited about the first day of school since elementary school, its a week later when I decide I want to be on vacation again. I've already bought most of my books, for significantly less money than last year. Last semester I spent over 600 dollars on books..this time was half that because i was able to find many of them used, and in good condition. I'll buy a new book if the used are in crappy shape because I cannot handle books in bad condition.

My summer class is over, I'll miss Professor Wells, it was his last day at UMD. Even the people in my class were pretty cool, but none of them (except one) was a MD student.

This weekend was pretty nice, Saturday evening was spent at Marie's house with my parents and her parents. We had a really nice dinner and the two Dads got on well. But I had to forcefully remind my Dad beforehand that there is a reason that the American dinner party rule is no Sex, Poltics or Religion at dinner (unlike France where all of those topics are relished--maybe its more fun :) ). Marie's Dad is decidedly Left and mine, well, isn't. But he isn't a crazy Right-winger either. He basically likes his money to be left alone and then he's happy. Unlike his brother. Oh my good God, my uncle David is nutcase. I can't talk to him. He is so intolerant and rabidly Conservative that it is disgusting. I think that both my Dad and I are fiscally Conservative and that's about it. I dont want to redistribute my money, it's mine. That may sound too simplistic, but really, its mine!

After we left The Pitts' house, it was only 930. I was bored at home! And no one was available to go out with, so I went out with my Mom! The broad's quite cool :) We went to Ramshead for a drink, we both had Vodka tonics, and then we went home. I think it's cool that I can go out and have a drink with my mom and that she isnt prudish and whatnot. Yay, Mom. Even if we do disagree sometimes and argue over stupid shit, for the most part she's awesome. I wouldn't trade her in ;)
